Adrian studied at Edinburgh College of Art prior to joining Keppie Architects in Edinburgh where he worked on a broad range of healthcare, commercial, leisure and retail projects, including the University of Edinburgh Medical School. He also gained valuable experience in dealing with listed buildings while working on several office projects in Edinburgh’s New Town.
In 2003 Adrian moved to Australia where he worked for BLP Architects on a number of mixed-use projects of varying size and complexity, as well as several healthcare projects. During this time he led the development of a A$1bn masterplan for three hospital sites in the western suburbs of Melbourne including a new district general hospital, and a masterplan for the redevelopment of several public housing estates in an inner city suburb.
On returning to the UK Adrian worked at Murphy Philipps Architects where he was Associate in charge of a number of healthcare and health related projects throughout the south of England including three primary care centres in South-East Essex, four care homes in Sussex and an Ambulance Station in Kent.
Since joining David Morley Architects in 2010, Adrian has been the Project Architect for the new Medium Secure Mental Health Unit at St Bernard’s Hospital in Ealing, as well as leading the introduction of Building Information Modelling(BIM) within the office. In August 2014 Adrian became an associate.
